The Shops on Broadway will be putting on the Boo-Fest (I like to refer to it as the “Okto-BOO-Fest”…) from 12 p.m – 4 p.m. on Theater Way. Immediately adjacent to our event, Boo Fest will feature FREE fun games, activities and prizes. Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Crew, Wizards Magic Lessons, pumpkin decorating, mask making, face painting and trick or treating are just a few things happening during this fun event.

The German American International School will be at Peninsula Oktoberfest!

Located in Menlo Park, the German-American International School’s (GAIS) presence at Peninsula Oktoberfest helps us reaffirm our position as an event aimed at raising awareness about education needs in our local community.

As stated on their website:

The Johnny Koenig Trio
12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

The Johnny Koenig Trio is based in Cleveland, Ohio. With a fall tour starting September 19th in Cleveland, and then heading west, The Johnny Koenig Trio has received four Grammy nominations in 2008. The Famous
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Evoking images of desert plains and ghost towns, the music of The Famous is like swallowing hard liquor — a raw, scorching blast of rocket-fueled, post-punk guitar and country twang — the blasphemous marriage of indie-styled rock & roll and cowboy laments. The Famous recently released their sophomore album “Come Home To Me” along with a video for the title track which was in constant rotation on HDNet’s Music Discovery show and have been gigging heavily opening for reknown artists such as The Toadies, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, and OK Go. Brother Buzz
3:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Brother Buzz has been rockin’ San Francisco and environs for over fifteen years. The band consistently gets high marks for energy, enthusiasm, and for being just plain fun. Tight but not too tight, they lay down the best of America’s roots music, rock’n’ roll, R&B, blues, and funk. The Conniptions
4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The Conniptions are a local, San Carlos based, classic and contemporary rock band with unbelievable energy and a large, local fan base. Check them out and sample their music at www.theconniptions.com.

Picture Atlantic
6:15 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

Picture Atlantic is a California Bay Area Pop/Rock outfit. Taking sounds as wide as folk and ambient rock, Picture Atlantic crafts delicate, raw, and heavy pop melodies, with deep and thoughtful lyrics. Picture Atlantic is ready to release their second EP, and their third release as a band.
